Matthew’s Story

“I wish I had Maggie's when I was first diagnosed with a brain tumour (ependymoma to be exact) in 2006, at the age of three years old. It would've made such a difference to calm me down before radiotherapy sessions.”

Fourteen and a half years later keen runner Matthew received a new diagnosis on the same site as his original tumour.

Despite this new tumour being inoperable, 18 year old A’ Level student Matthew who is also a published poet, is continuing with his treatment with the goal of graduating university firmly on his horizon.
